Ontological Specification of Performance Models for Multi-agent Systems
نویسندگان
چکیده
Large-scale multi-agent systems (MAS) utilize performance models for their optimization. These models could be queueing network models such as Jackson or BCMP networks that can capture the flow of tasks through the network of agents and estimate quantities such as response time and queue lengths. The selection of the model and subsequent analysis of the system is often done offline. We propose a generic ontological framework to capture the semantics of various performance models to facilitate online analysis of MAS with minimal human interaction. Through the framework, we illustrate the specification of queueing models used for MAS performance optimization.

متن کاملA Context-aware Architecture for Mental Model Sharing through Semantic Movement in Intelligent Agents
Recent studies in multi-agent systems are paying increasingly more attention to the paradigm of designing intelligent agents with human inspired concepts. One of the main cognitive concepts driving the core of many recent approaches in multi agent systems is shared mental models. In this paper, we propose an architecture for sharing mental models based on a new concept called semantic movement....

متن کاملOntological Basis for Agent ADL
Abstract. Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) architectures are gaining popularity over traditional ones for building open, distributed or evolving software. To formally define system architecture and reasoning about it, numerous architecture description languages (ADLs) have been proposed during the last decade. However, few research efforts aim at truly defining a description language for MAS architect...
متن کاملOptimization of majority protocol for controlling transactions concurrency in distributed databases by multi-agent systems
In this paper, we propose a new concurrency control algorithm based on multi-agent systems which is an extension of majority protocol. Then, we suggest a clustering approach to get better results in reliability, decreasing message passing and algorithm’s runtime. Here, we consider n different transactions working on non-conflict data items. Considering execution efficiency of some different...
